Have you ever been so close to someone that you grew to the point of finishing each other's sentences? What about knowing what they were thinking without a word being spoken? It's like that many times with me and my lil brother even though we're 7 years apart (and obviously not twins lol).
Today's question: How / why do we get demonically influenced / infected? (pt2)
Let's think spiritually / metaphysically / etc for today.
When we are in relationship with someone, no matter the degree a bond is formed; good or bad.
Spiritually speaking, it can be godly or ungodly, depending on the nature of the relationship and what happens over the course of time when you are together and / or apart from one another.
What does this have to do with demons?
When we are connected to someone, mentally, emotionally, spiritually, and especially physically we open ourselves to being "tied" with that person. There's a concept known as "soul ties", a binding together of the souls. This is why at times when a friend has a problem or issue, it becomes yours and in certain cases with an increased immediacy and intensity.
They say that every relationship you're in, you give a piece of yourself (and your heart). It's true and goes beyond what many tend to acknowledge or understand.
Why the issue?
Well, if you don't have (a certain type of) protection you could unknowingly become influenced. A seed is planted and it grows in the dark without fail....a transfer can occur regardless of the type of tie (good or bad).
Some biblical scholars disagree on this concept...I'll let them continue to disagree.
I can only tell you what I've learned as I continue to grow in this calling.
